Indoor Winter Fun

Baby, it’s cold outside. Temperatures are plummeting quickly, and meteorologists are predicting snow. A cozy day of hot chocolate and movies is always a good idea, but there are times when we just need to blow off some steam. If you’re like us, a winter hike is intimidating (unless of course the hike takes place in Tysons Corner Center), so this week we have rounded up three wildly fun and unique ways to be active this winter that don’t require wearing a coat and scarf.

Autobahn Indoor Speedway
Manassas, VA
Right off I-66, there is a thrilling European-style indoor go-kart speedway - the largest in Virginia. Grab some of your most competitive friends and race around the track in Italian F1 inspired go-karts, reaching speeds up to 50mph. With your need for speed sated, perhaps you will feel brave enough to visit nearby Manassas National Battlefield Park, or simply want to fill up on tacos at Zandra’s in charming Old Town Manassas.

ShadowLand Laser Adventures
Chantilly, VA & Alexandria, VA
You’ve played laser tag before, but the experience at ShadowLand is nothing like your classmate’s 4th grade birthday party. Be prepared when you enter the 6,000sq ft state-of-the-art arena for fog, towers, turrets and catwalks to elevate your senses and unleash the stealthy warrior you didn’t know was inside of you! If you visit the Alexandria location, you can easily swing by Port City for some good old fashioned post-game ribbing and beers with your friends.

Sterling, VA
If you have a lot of energy to burn, Rebounderz is the place for you. With 12,000 sq ft of trampolines, you will quickly feel like Tigger. Rebounderz is designed for bouncers of all ages, so this is a great place to bring the whole family. There is even a cafe and arcade for when you need a little break from all the jumping. Rebounderz also hosts trampoline-based activities, such as “In the Air Dodgeball” and “Basketball Slam” if you feel like mixing up your usual exercise routine!

Northern Virginia is a coveted place to live, not only for its proximity to Washington DC, but also its plethora of unique and diverse activities! Contact the Team @ Dwel  if you’re looking to stay in this exciting area!
