Where to Eat in Tysons for Every MealTysons is having a moment. New buildings, restaurants, metro stops and bike stations seem to pop up every day. Okay, that may be a slight exaggeration, but Tysons is definitely seeing a revival and renewal, transforming from a shopping oasis to an urban setting where you can live, work and play. You can spend all day here, never running out of things to do. To celebrate this, we have covered our favorite places to eat for every meal in the Tysons area! Some are new, some are established favorites.
Breakfast - Cafe Deluxe
Serving classic American foods in a European bistro setting, Cafe Deluxe is the perfect place to visit when you are in the mood for your favorite foods in a nice surrounding. Cafe Deluxe prides itself on preparing all its food from scratch, so you know you will be well cared for. Its breakfast menu is chock full of perennial favorites, such as blueberry pancakes, omelets and breakfast sandwiches. A fun find is the croque madame! Located directly across from Tysons Corner Center, Cafe Deluxe is just the place to fuel up before a big shopping day.
Brunch - Founding Farmers
Founding Farmers was started by a farmers union, and as such, much of their menu is sourced from family farms. The idea of farm-to-table is having a well deserved moment in America, and Founding Farmers was one of the first of this restaurant concept in the Washington, DC area. Brunch is a time-honored American tradition, and what better place to brunch than at a restaurant whose name is a nod to our own Founding Fathers? It serves a buffet brunch on weekends, full of American favorites, like fried chicken, beef pastrami hash, eggs benedict, shrimp & grits, fried green tomatoes… The list is endless. You will leave sated, full of American goodness, ready to conquer the rest of the day.
Lunch - TenPenh
TenPenh’s Tysons opening was one of the most anticipated events of the year, and for good reason. Its delectable menu features a fusion of Asian Pacific cuisines with some delightful Western twists, such as the Phnom Penh Po’ Boys and Nashville Hot Chicken Bao Bun, that are truly, truly delicious. The restaurant’s interior is inviting and calm, accented with jade, amber, onyx and animals of the Chinese zodiac. If you are looking for a light meal that doesn’t skimp on taste, in a comfortable ambience, TenPenh is the place for you. We love ordering a selection of plates to share amongst a group to taste as much of their phenomenal menu as possible.
Dinner - Wildfire
The only location on the East Coast of this upscale, Chicago-based steakhouse, Wildfire in Tysons Galleria should be your go-to for a swanky date night. Why you ask? Stepping into the dark, wood paneled dining room will set the mood for an evening of sweet nothings. The attentive, yet discreet, waiters will ensure you have everything you want without being overbearing. The spectacular menu featuring such gems as lamb porterhouse chops, peppercorn-crusted filet and prime rib will ensure the evening delights all your senses. The carefully selected wine list will enhance the meal as you sip with pleasure. Hurry, make a reservation, and treat your sweetheart!
