Earth DayAs a Company that Cares, Dwel has previously highlighted a few of the charitable organizations it supports, including Cameron’s Chocolates and Bethany House. Dwel also aims to be as earth friendly as possible, in the companies we partner with, and the services and products we provide to our guests. With Earth Day coming up on April 22, this is a great time to share how Dwel strives to make our luxury residences as green as possible.
Most of the residential buildings Dwel partners with are LEED certified, and Dwel is proud to continue their green efforts in every one of our boutique furnished apartments. Welcoming each guest upon arrival is a box of organic snacks, filled with favorites like Kashi bars and Pirate’s Booty. We believe in fueling up with delicious food that is also thoughtfully produced from wholesome ingredients. When it’s time to shower, our guests have a full range of travel-size toiletries from William Roam, a line which creates American-inspired luxury bath products that are produced with renewable energy and without harmful ingredients. Dish duty after dinner? Dwel guests have a choice between several full-size Mrs. Meyer’s products. Mrs. Meyer’s plant-based formulas are powerful, yet friendly to the environment.
These are just a few of the ways Dwel apartments are thoughtfully curated with the earth in mind. Each residence is a labor of love, and to fill it with environmentally friendly products is a no-brainer to us. If, like us, you love Mother Earth, keep reading for some ways to get involved on Earth Day in the local community:

Invasive Plant Removal
Various Locations & Times
Help a local park remove unwelcome earth invaders which harm the local plant species. There are opportunities at several parks in Arlington: Haley Park, Ft. Bennett Park, Benjamin Banneker and Long Branch Nature Center. Prefer to plant a tree? Help Fairfax County fill areas that used to have invasive species with local trees and shrubs at Wayland Street Park.
If you can’t make it to any of these events, soak in nature at a local park, visit the nearby Shenandoah Mountains or partake in activities at a farm. Dwel is committed to a sustainable, green approach to life and work. Learn more about staying in one of our eco-friendly apartments today!
